Inductive Bible Study: Annotation with Colors + Picturesfeatured

Sometimes a page filled with underlines starts to be overwhelming. Last night at Bible study, Jill Kandel showed us the way she does the annotation step. This is a great example of applying the inductive study method in a way that works for you. If using colors and pictures helps you to better make connections within a passage, great! You can listen to her reflect on the benefit of annotating in the short audio clip below.

She recommends this Inductive Study Bible.

I also found a couple of lists of symbols to use for marking your Bible (here and here), if you want some ideas. (I don’t know anything about these blogs; I just liked the way they broke down their symbols.)
